After leaving Cairns we took a bus down to Townsville, and then the ferry to Magnetic Island. We stayed at a B&B in Horseshoe Bay, right near the beach. We keep on joking how we're such backpackers - basically we stay in nice hotels, eat at expensive restaurants, but we carry our stuff in backpacks... We spent the weekend hiking to different secluded bays, swimming, suntanning, I buried Brian in the sand. For such a small island and only 5 or 6 restaurants in the town we were staying in, the food was amazing.

Your adventures sounds amazing...I am reliving my trip to the east coast of Australia through your pictures...it is really an amazing place. Hope you get to sail in the Whitsunday islands...that was a highlight.
