The day after we arrived back from Adelaide, we were off again, this time to the Blue Mountains for the pediatric satellite meeting of the Australian Rheumatology Association conference. Like all good conferences, it was at a beautiful Fairmont hotel that we couldn't have afforded otherwise. While I went to the meeting in the mornings, Brian slept in, went for hikes and enjoyed being a "doctor's wife". The meeting was very interesting for me, my program director in Toronto was the guest speaker which was nice.
We spent the afternoons sitting in front of the fire in the lounge, walking to Leura (the nearby town) and watching the French Open. At night there were some great dinners, complete with a wine tasting. We both ended up with colds after our electives (must be new Australian viruses that we're not yet immune to) and spent a lot of time relaxing, popping echinacea (Maureen you would be so proud!) and tylenol cold and flus.
As this portion of the trip will be sponsored by my hospital in Toronto, we'd like to thank Robbie for his ongoing support - we couldn't do it without you!
